Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I *think* they've loosened the criteria for how much of your run has to be over 70%. It used to be 10 mins, my 'tests' indicate it's now 4 mins. So those easy run with a fast finish might now be knocking down your VO2 Max when previously they don't count.

As I said, not has this validated by anyone just what I've observed.

Cog - I'm seeing the same on the F5, but unfortunately I think the decrease on mine is probably a true reflection of my condition!

Badger - yes, there is a value in 140/7 on trail runs, but it just persists the previous value.

HRM PRO - I understand storing data is the way the HRM Swim works (maybe tri too) - it doesn’t talk to the watch during the activity.

If anyone spots that the beta for the 245 with track mode has been released, please post a link. Thanks.

The HRM Pro does talk to the watch during an activity if it can see one, but if it can't it can store up to 18 hrs worth of activity. As soon as it detects the watch again it will offload the stored data.

Thanks. That's an F5+, right? It's handled differently in the F6 - the fields are there, but both that and 140/29 are zero.

It is.

You really expected Garmin to do things consistently?!

The F6 approach makes more sense to me.

(Interested in the geekery there - what are F5+ and F6?)
