Interesting information a lot of it over my head.I am the proud new owner of a Fenix 5X as of 9pm last night so getting it all sorted out. What is spooky it knew my gender weight hR RHR etc.Just setting the data fields I like I feel it is going to be a lot of fun, will it make me faster nope but fun trying.

WP - you can procrastinate for hours setting up the watch. I've often found it preferable to actually going out and running with it

Flanker: WOW is all I am going to say so much it can do and the data fields you could get lost in there for days at a time,I only run and hike but if I ever took up other sports it could cope.I could be lost for days and days

So today I did 5.5 miles with 2:56 above 70% and got a re-calc of VO2 Max. I don't think I've had a software update in the last week so length must come into it as well. The only thing I can safely say at this point is that so far, if I stay below 70% all the way, there's no re-calc. I wonder if that's true for longer runs though. |

My VO2 max average for August was 60.63 (was sure that was wrong), started the month at 62.68, peaked at 64.79 on Sunday and is now 63.93. Will possibly continue to trend down as Garmin is unlikely to like anaerobic training with long jog recovery (elevated HR for pace in recovery) and mostly easy running on tired legs (each run will likely take it down or no calc I guess). |
