Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

All GPS activity included at the moment.

Hopefully walks will yield a bit more now that I've sorted the sprinkling of items so that there are no shortages.

I've picked totally arbitrary figures e.g. there are 500 money bags on the grid - so if the game needs a few more low hanging fruits, I can increase numbers.

Sigh
Thanks, @fetcheveryone , makes sense!

I did hover over what I now understand to be uncollected bread, to be told it might be useful for feeding monsters (I think).

Q: How long does the bread I've got last before it goes stale / mouldy? Or is it 1970's Sunblest white bread with enough preservatives to fell an army? :-)

Side note: there are currently 1161 items on the grid. The grid is 201x201, meaning there are 40,401 slots available for items. So there's plenty of room for more stuff :-)

As things stand, items in your inventory don't go off :-) But items already exist in the grid that can steal your inventory from you.

Most days I run and walk in different locations- do I need to move my grid accordingly for each activity?

The only reason to manually move your grid is if you want to plan your route. If so, setting it to your start point lets you see where to aim. If you're happy just to get what you get given, no action required.

With it, you leave a trail of bread crumbs behind you, and at the end of your activity all closed loops in your route are accessed. There are only so many breadcrumbs in it at any one time. There could be a duck of immense hungriness.

Perhaps, for the duck of immense hungriness?

About This Thread

Maintained by fetcheveryone
I have decided to build a new version of Fetchpoint, and for now at least I am calling it Fetchworld.

The original Fetchpoint was first launched in 2011 - and I don't know of anything else that was like it at the time. The closest thing I was aware of at the time was geocaching - but nothing virtual like this. It predated Pokemon Go by five years :-)

As with any code project, what started as a relatively clean chunk of code has taken on various bug fixes, workarounds and the code equi...
