Oh. Do you clear (make visible) a square if you run beside it? My cleared route appears to be three squares wide. Hence the things I didn’t catch, I cleared three squares, but only ran through one.

I have to admit to being a bit confused by the game. Before my last activity I had 4 points. I set my home point to capture the 3 bags of money I could see in my grid. When I returned to check my haul my home point had moved to the place where I started my walk and I'd only got one of the 3 bags, therefore my score is now 8.

Writing this has clarified for me that your home point moves to the starting point of any activity, so that you always start from the middle of the grid. I guess that makes things more tricky.

It's worth bearing in mind that other people are running on the same grid. So money you were aiming at may have been scooped up by someone else.

And yes, you open up a wider area than just the squares you run through. The idea is to reveal a bit more of the playing area to encourage you to look for the necessary variations to collect the items.

It would be useful to have the option to save a ‘home’ starting point, just as we can save a ‘home’ grid in WSW.

I've made a little adjustment to the item displays - they now have a bounding box around them, showing you where you need to be to hit them.

Could do with separating out the scoring. I've done a number of walks, sometimes picking up moneybags (I'm yet to encounter any different icon), but all scoring shows as one line - so I've no idea when I'm scoring.

Did the parkrun clear any squares? Supposing that you ran the parkrun, as opposed to marshalling it.

I have decided to build a new version of Fetchpoint, and for now at least I am calling it Fetchworld.

The original Fetchpoint was first launched in 2011 - and I don't know of anything else that was like it at the time. The closest thing I was aware of at the time was geocaching - but nothing virtual like this. It predated Pokemon Go by five years :-)
