Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I thought it might be good to start with a roundup of everyone's goals for the year. Here's mine:

Unless I do something very stupid in the next 36 hours, I will start 2017 a smidgeon under 16 st 7lb, with a BMI of 36.

My minimum goal is to lose 3 stone, which will get my BMI under 30 for the first time in more than 20 years.

But my ideal goal is to lose another 2 and a half stone beyond that, to get me under 11 stone and into the healthy weight range for the first time in more than 30 years (and that only lasted six months).

This is my year.

Basically mine is to get back into my jeans hanging in the wardrobe. That means at least two stone to shift. Not sure what I want the end result to be - size 10 might not look good on me seeing as I am a good few years older.

So for now target is to take it half a stone at a time, and get my fitness back

Tomsmum, I've added you on the bottom.

There are probably few in there that aren't on the thread anymore but not sure how to organise a clean up.

I've lost a stone but I'm still a fat bastard ;-) My goal is to get under BMI 27 in 2017. I'm one of those weirdos that at BMI 'healthy range' my ribs start sticking out through my back, so not a good look!
