All I can say is those of you that live in the lakes are spoilt

I have had an amazing few days here, first with a bike ride with V'rap and elBee which included castle rigg stones hill, and ended up back at theirs. Then a drive through Whinlatter pass via the coast with views of Scotland. We have been to Aira falls, Ullswater, I have walked along the old railway line in Keswick with some friends, today was Cat Bells and then a lunch stop Grange followed by a lovely drive.

Tomorrow we head home but a part of me will forever be here - it is just simply stunning 🥰

I certainly will, DT. If the weather holds up then I'm planning to climb Wansfell Pike tomorrow morning. At some point later this summer I'll probably tackle The Struggle; maybe return to High Sweden Bridge and go around Coniston Water.

Forecast looking good for this weekend. Saturday should be good for some more wainwright’s. I think I’ll do some of the Coniston range. I’d say they are my least favourite fells. I like the village and lake, but the tops have never grabbed me. We’ll see...

Really!!! I love the Coniston Range. All the old mine works provide hours of enjoyment. Compared to the grassy boring Far Eastern Fells, I'd take the Coniston Fells every time.

But we're all different and like different things.

Also liking the look of the weather forecast for Saturday :) I shall have an early morning walk window both Sat and Sun. Also wondering about an evening stroll somewhere Saturday.

I'm imited to short time windows while I'm supposed to be daughter visiting. Hoping to be able to get proper long days out in the early autumn though :)
