Also my chance to do the entire course in two parts, though my Fling was in 2009 and I haven't done another ultra since. Have done various support shifts in WHW and DotH though. Looking forward to it and spending the week back in Scotland

I remember @_andy at the start of the last Lakeland 50 we were both in. I said I'd take it easy, and so did he. From the start line I walked the initial half mile, he was gone in a flash!

I know Andy runs even less than I do these days (he's just below me on the alphabetically sorted Trader list). He's a lot braver than me as I've no intention of 'racing' anything beyond parkrun.

@57.5 Degrees of Pain I'm certainly not "racing" the DotH in 12 days! It'll just be a grand day out, and if I'm within 3 hours of my best time there, that'll be fine. But it's not about the clock time, just having a good time, and hoping that the body holds up to being out all day. @Fenners-Reborn haha at "gone in a flash"! I did walk the uphills, but tried to run the flat and downhill bits - ditto for the forthcoming DotH. |
