Will the Irish be claiming they are world champions now like the Scots did when they were the first to beat the football 66 World Cup team....

WS picked the wrong day to have a go at Ireland. One of their team must be a Fetch member

In reply to NDWDave on p2200 I can’t claim Jonty Rhodes as a friend. I once bought a beer from him at a house party at uni, and I met his girlfriend who was friends with my neighbour but that’s as close as it got. He did indeed get national colours for hockey as well as cricket. |

Good toss to lose? Unchanged team. I'd argue we are still a batsman light? |

Indeed, but it is very muggy today here in Machester, I see a few wickets, could be good....clears up then rains, so perhaps they'll be 5 down before play is called off...weather improves tomorrow, then really warms up Friday/Saturday, so I think the result may depend on how the game pans out tomorrow, and who gets to bat most in the best conditions, which will be late Thursday/Friday

I wasn't having a go at Ireland, that's a country. I was having a go at players who seem to think swearing at, and calling fellow professionals (who had just soundly beaten you) is a really clever thing to do. As it turns out, it might have been. |

Just noticed that the Bob Willis Trophy tables on the BBC website have columns for Won, Lost and Tied, but not for Drawn. Is this a new innovation to make matches more decisive?
