A little update for Coros fans...
last week, I finally got access to the Coros API, which in theory means that I can give you the power to automatically import your Coros sessions.
I've gone back to them with a few questions:
1) is there a way that I can generate test training entries to see if the process is working? 2) where can I go on the Coros site to see the third-party services (i.e. Fetch) that I have given rights to (so that I can test 'turning it off again').
That was August 8th, and I followed up again with them on August 11th - but no response of any kind just yet.
We'll get there, hopefully - but their communication is pretty slow. I first asked for access to the API in September 2020; then again in January 2021; and probably a couple more times after that. It was only on 2nd August this year that I noticed they had published a list of third party services that they work with, that I tried again. So with any luck, we are not far off. Bear with me kids

Hi. I'm thinking of replacing my Garmin with a coros after reading about the battery life. Just back from holiday where we did a lot of walking and the garmin rarely lasted the day- when I paused the device to have lunch for example it drained down completely so I started saving the sections and then starting again afterwards as a new activity. It still didn't last all day.
I know coros will help with this but am a bit concerned about general usability. Things I like about garmin- easy upload to Fetch, distance and elevation info. I do more walking than anything else but would like options for running, swimming (pool and ow), skiing, cycling. I also like the smart features- being able to have my phone on silent but seeing notifications on my wrist is really useful.
For those of you who have made the switch, was it positive? Will you stay with coros?
Sorry for the long post! It's a lot of money and I want to get it right

Mr. K.
I do like mine - glad I switched.
I generally don`t use maps or the training plan though.
Battery life - is generally 2 weeks to the day.

Still doing some to-ing and fro-ing to get the answers I want from Coros - but at least they're replying again now. Latest one is that I won't be able to access some stuff until we go 'live', but that makes it harder/impossible to test stuff before hand, lol.
At some point (maybe next week) I may need a guinea pig with a Coros watch to try (1) establishing the automatic connection, and (2) logging a few dummy training entries, so I can test the process as best as I can.
If you're up for being that guinea pig, leave a comment on the thread, and I'll drop you an fmail if and when I need you. Ta.

(As a contrast, Wahoo were extremely responsive, and even sent me some devices to try out.)
