Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm off the mark.
Only 9,566 metres to go! (I've logged 434)

What's that old phrase? 'Statistics, statistics and ... oooh, new record!'?

I log manually and hadn't been transferring ascent ... I am now :-)

Keeping running and cycling separate, yeah xp?

Or it's a bit weird.

I've been considering spiltting the disciplines into what I'm most likely to use (running, cycling/bike, and walking) and denoting with the appropriate initial. Something like ~ r001/b001/w001/T004. With the 'T' indicating the total for all.

Hopefully that makes sense?

I'm keeping running, cycling and err swimming ;-) separate. For me the 10k challenge only applies to the running*, this year anyway. I'll have to see how the biking goes.

*which may include some run-walking!

Run-Walk is a legitimate and accepted strategy for running, go for it :-)

Blimey. I'll never hit 10k unless I combine the different disciplines!

Walking and running for me, Gimme. I don't run far enough for just running.

Perhaps just a walking/running 5k for where you live! :-)

I'd even include going up and down the stairs where you live, GM :)

I think it's a personal thing what you include, lots of different targets and disciplines here anyway. I'll count running and hiking; if I ever get confused and find myself on a bike again, I'll just ignore that :)

About This Thread

The Y-axis botherers of 2017 :)

Running or cycling or (somehow!) swimming uphill in 2017. Monkey people with the ropes and whatnot also very welcome.

Customised targets are the way to go here, depending on fitness and targets and geography and mode of propulsion. Good luck all :)
