Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

the map I posted is from the website and shows CP 1 at the path junction south-ish of the Robinson top, so the BG line drawn on that would miss the CP.
I hope they have printed new maps!

I *think* from memory - I haven't been back to check - the route UP Robinson is also different on the website to that map, @Snoot

In terms of BG line I think the text NE quoted is referring to the route up Robinson @Rosehip ie the route off on a bg not in the race. But that's another example of how poorly worded and unenforceable it is.

I wondered if it meant the shortcut CW Hindscarth to Robinson albeit taken in the opposite direction in the race. That would bypass the CP but would be a nice little cheat if you got away with it. tbh I’ve no idea :-O

that's what I thought it meant - so yes, badly worded

I marshalled Robinson three years ago and the RO asked me to tape across the beginning of the path of Robinson that we wanted runners to avoid, so assuming this is done again it should be obvious for everyone.

I remember seeing you marshalling! I think that was one of my first outings in an NLFR vest.
