Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

At last! A podcast about running that's actually worth listening to!

I've found no long run exceeds the combined length of Marathon Talk and Danny Baker's podcast. OK, so the latter has very little to do with running, but come 15 miles, sometimes I don't want to hear about running any more.

Most of my long runs are accompanied by Mayo and Kermode, the Now Show and Danny Baker.

Since I decided to focus on cycling, I run mainly to carve out podcast time. Works for me.

I listen to Marathon Talk when I want running banter and The Skeptics Guide to the Universe when I want sciencey banter. Infinite Monkey Cage is good for short runs but there aren't many episodes. I'm considering Desert Island Disks if I run out of non running trivia.

Start the week, Midweek, Arts and Ideas and Forum are always good. The Jillian Michaels show is always entertaining on health and exercise.

Nobody actually listens to In Our Time, do they? The sound of Melvyn Bragg's voice would send me in front of a car!

I like In Our Time! (although he's not great at chairing the science-y episodes). If w**k gets quiet, I may have to list out all the podcasts I subscribe to...

See, I can't really *listen* to things while I'm running so I find it easier to just put on background music. Even listening to podcasts on the train, I keep finding myself drifting off to thinking about other things and having to rewind all the time.

Does anybody else find "Boy on the Run", the relatively new addition to Marathon Talk, not funny in the slightest? I can't believe this guy used to be a stand-up comedian!
