Yes Nelly, Im with you on that one. There is the odd bit but mostly I find him a bit annoying.

I think the trouble he has is that Tony is genuinely a funny bloke, and on top of that is always doing some interesting race to talk about. Whereas this guy a) isn't as funny and b) apart from moving hasn't really done much of note that I can remember running wise. I don't think he's rubbish, but he's clearly a step below Tony.
As for podcasts, I'm a computer games geek so the Giant Bomb podcast is three hours each week. So that and Marathon Talk are enough to cover me when running solo. Got an ice hockey one as well but normally don't run enough mils to get to that.

HeBlo's para 1 is spot on. Tony's great. BotR's main problem, to me, is that he isn't Tony. His secondary problem is that he isn't funny. His tertiary problems are that he is neither interesting not informative.

Agreed on BotR. OK but he's not Tony. I really like Tony. I loved the Marathon Prayer and the wedding ceremony and the Foose your legs one.
Anyone tried Marathon Training Academy? American couple, Angie and Trevor. Angie is an experienced marathon runner, Trev starting running was part of the reason they started podcasting. He's gone from beign a total novice to running several marathons and halfs and we've sort of followed his journey along with plenty of tips and interviews with other runners, both celebs and otherwise. Last week was the first half of an interview with Tim Noakes. If nothing else that one's worth a listen.

His special from last year's Thunder Run is a favourite.

In Our Time irritates me tremendously. Not sure why.

I like IOT. Bragg isn't the best but they have interesting subjects that I probably would know nothing about otherwise. A lot of their arty stuff is news to me and a fair bit of the obscure history subjects too.
Tony's Bullock Smithy report from last year actually had me in tears on a run. The last person to do that to me was Theon Greyjoy. Bless 'im.

They're a bit "American" for some tastes and they're getting into the low carb thing a bit which bothers me but a lot of their training stuff is pretty good and their interviews and race reports are generally pretty interesting. They do it from a "married couple iwth kids tryiong to get this stuff done" position, rather than some idealised athlete-in-training thing.

Nellers - tears of laughter or grief (both times)?
I'm now imagining Theon co-hosting The Parkrun Show... *redacts variants of 'Up In A Tree' to avoid spoilers*
