I was watching a guy from Video My Run on YouTube, who uses children's smoothies as an alternative. Same size as the old Lucozade pouches at the London Marathon. |

jacdaw: the grapes will get a bit squashed ![]() Dates and dried apricots. But probably not if you have digestive issues! I like jelly babies and Shot Bloks are much better than gels, ick. |

Jelly babies used to be a staple when I was hill walking, that and flat Fanta, all the sugary energy none of the fizz ![]() |

My own choice is jelly babies and sometimes cereal bars. Did try jelly beans for a while but they tended to get stuck between my teeth. |
