Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

cake muncher First cross country race this year and I hated every minute! Heel started to blister before the end of 1st lap and got really painful as the race progressed. Was also feeling knackered and came so close to dropping out on 2nd lap. Might just stick to road running for a while.

Fat Boy I'm not a great lover of cross country and much prefer road running but gave it my best shot all the same and despite slipping and sliding all over the place felt as if I had a decent enough run. Well done to Cake Muncher who got the better of me once again!

HappyG(rrr) Enjoyed this one today. OMG how muddy was I?! Liked the 3 lap course better than last year's 2 lapper. As usual, gained on the downhills and the firmer stuff, lost on the hills and mud. And there was a lot of that! Great fun! :-)G

Lexo Not on good form today. Started slow and steady and got even slower as the race went on. Jut coulndt get going at all...not sure why as I like this course as i find it a nice mix of paths and woods with enough mud thrown in to make it a challenge. Think last year it was two longer laps and included the steep killer hill at the end of the lap which was missing this year so on paper should have been much faster but didnt work out that way.. Never seem to do too well on three lap courses . Ach well some good days and bad ones . Also not sure whats going on in Scotland these days as all the terrible dilapitated schools have been knocked down and replaced by hyper modern white shiny new establishments.. They had shower cubicles and hair driers in the changing rooms today!!!! Whats the world coming too!

RichyC First cross country outing of the season, will be a shock to the system I reckon. UPDATE: I'll never be strong at cross country, just not cut out for it but felt I did ok today based on recent form. Enjoyed the course better this year despite the conditions which were tough going.
