Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Atrocious wet and cold conditions for the last 19 miles, but still the best race going. Organization and care for the runners is unbeatable - back next year :-)

Hoping to do sub 5.30

First Ultra - Finnished in 36th place ran to my race plan, strong at the end overtook 10 people from 26 miles- should have done 445 but was too scared of the distance.Best sporting experience of my life- Proud to have been in the same race as those runners

Ran this last year, loved it. It's a soft PB so should be able to take a decent chunk off. *Update* Wow, incredibly tough in torrential rain and being absolutely frozen in 5 degrees. No problems with leg endurance or the hills so found it easier to slog through without stopping, even at the water stations. I was wet enough on the outside, didn't need to get any wetter on the inside! Brilliant brilliant race, already looking forward to going back next year.

is sub-5 too much to hope for? UPDATE: yes, too much to hope for. It wasn't to be. 45 seconds slower than last year.
