Dartmoor Discovery: I love this race and it was even tougher than usual this year with unbelievably heavy rain that started one hour in and didn't let up. It was astonishingly cold, and a real mental battle not to quit and crawl into someone's, anyone's, warm car. However, the marshals and few supporters were heroic, standing out in miserable conditions being really encouraging, and you do not DNF a Phil Hampton event. I was going to finish it, and that meant running the whole damn thing to avoid getting hypothermia (it was 5 degrees). Bit disappointed with the time, but I didn't feel tired and got the PB and most importantly feel pretty satisfied with getting through this. Blog to follow.
