About Me

Started running properly in January 2007, after a few false starts. Lots of time out for various injuries but have a fair few races under my belt now. Parkrun is fab, but I'm happier at 10ks and more. Love running. Just love it. Built for distance, not speed, but what the heck :-) May 2012 - Lazy, lardy, not run for 3 months. Arse kicked and building up again. 7 weeks on, a stone lighter and the mileage and speed are onthe up. Stubborn, me ;) July 2012 - happily 8 1/2 min miling again - wheeeeeeeeee!!
And a VLM ballot place - 5th year of trying :)) And a 10 mile cabbage patch 84 min PB :) And a 10k 49:06 PB today, Nov 18th, with my best wava ever :))
These little legs are on a roll. Now to knuckle down for some marathon training. Okey doke, London 2013 done. 4:29, not without major issues - ie calf tear meaning naff all training for 6 weeks before. Unfinished busines...
March 2014. Guess what - flabby and unfit. Again. Deferred VLM, now have a year to kick arse April 2015 Didn't quite get the training in for London and dont want to do it enough but flab is gone speed is up and I'm thinking of joining a club.....
