beders a very sunny and warm day , a complete change from last years heavy rain. If my garmin is to be believed this has 2500ft ascent descent to more than happy to manage a whole 6 seconds faster than last year. Taking into account the heat, my hamstring going in the GNR and my scabby stiff knees from last weeks withins skyline, I was happy with this one. Even managed a fast last mile and a sprint finish. A really nice scenic run, well organised with plenty of water and sponges Ilkley Harriers AC 1:42:38 1:43:38 1:48:00 1:48:15 59.67
Boba What a race! Was well on for a PB up until 9 miles, then my legs competely gave up and just couldn't make it up the hills without cramping.
I knew it would be a hard race, but still pleased to take off 5 mins from last year. Cleethorpes AC 1:38:20 1:44:11 1:55:00 1:54:19 51.48
Chockaholic Was told beforehand there was a big hill in first mile then course is undulating - true but the undulating bit had some long uphill drags! Only 2 weeks since marathon debut so delighted to knock a 69 seconds off pb. Possibly set off too quick and suffered between miles 10 & 12 where it was steady climb. It was a warm day but cooler in Clumber Park where more sheltered. Not an easy course. Long Eaton Running Club 1:24:22 1:24:35 1:24:35 70.98

Durbat Lovely run in ClumberPark, sun shining and legs performing, well almost. Was aiming for 1:45 and missed but still managed to knock 8 mins off last year. Sub 1:45 next year then :) Killamarsh Kestrels RC, Tickhill Velo 1:46:51 1:47:11 1:45:00 1:50:34 56.47

Greenman Pleased to get under 1:23 although it would have been nice to go a bit quicker as I felt really up for it. Great conditions, sunny and quite warm out of the shade with a gentle breeze. Good quality shirt too. Grantham Running club 1:20:38 1:22:31 1:22:34 72.71

mellow yellow Didn't quite make 2 hrs but still managed to knock nearly 8 mins off my previous best at Newark.

Felt ill at mile 11 and nearly threw up in the hedge but managed to pull myself together again and sprint to the finish.

Well organised race, friendly marshalls and a scenic course. Unaffiliated 2:01:05 2:01:05 2:01:05 56.93

Rich963 Not pleased with this one - I ran badly. Set off too quick and had no energy - was pleased to finish without having to take walk breaks. Think I may have a cold on the way or something, as felt terrible. One to put down to experience... Stilton Striders RC 1:28:39 1:29:51 1:29:51 1:34:55 61.51

Sonneur37 Nice course through Clumber Park. Quite warm for the season but the trees helped. The last mile was a freefall to the finish! Unaffiliated 1:35:30 1:41:00 1:43:00 1:41:00 62.34

ThorntonRunner Enjoyed this, but was going backwards after 4 miles and decided to treat it as a training run after 7 miles. Have now gone down with 'flu which hopefully explains the poor time. Unaffiliated 1:28:07 1:28:32 1:29:00 1:37:12 64.77

Vickyy Brilliant race I really enjoyed this one - the conditions were ideal, the route suited me perfectly and I ran the way I wanted to - keeping roughly at 8 min mile pace - felt pretty good afterwards - confidence back up Long Eaton Running Club 1:38:52 1:44:13 1:45:32 62.05
