Baza Ran 22:22 back in 2004 and 26 something in 2005(just after the 2 bridges) and23:10 last year. Training going really well so hope to be around 23 odds. *Update* Okay I knew I was running reasonably well but I never expected to get so close to my course PB. Well pleased(and celebrating at present with a wee tin). Paced the laps well, started easier than in previous years, tucked in behind 'Plussing' till the final bend on the 1st lap, picked it up slightly through the dips and chicanes etc and realised I was closing down my club mate. 3rd lap and I still felt strong, passed team mate with 300m to go. Challenging course with minimal flat sections which seem to suit me better. Well done all who took part though.. Carnegie Harriers 21:26 22:33 23:30 22:33 72.28
cake muncher Placed 11th / 4th veteran. Went well until the last lap when I faded badly. Faster than in 2006 but slower than in 2005. Nice weather for running. Falkland Trail Runners 21:05 21:25 21:25 80.94
Dave_K Also ran this last year. Really enjoyed it. Will definitely beat last years time, as I am running a lot more this year. But no podium finish ! UPDATE: Well, that went really well. Great run, managed the hills suprisingly well. Really pleased with the time. Must have been spurred on by those who had faith enough to bet on me !!!! Unaffiliated 28:07 28:09 31:00 28:09 61.11
Debstir Definite PB - have never run a race this distance before! UPDATE - well, it couldn't be anything other than a PB! Unofficial watch time but I can't imagine the official time will be much out, maybe by a few seconds. Really enjoyed this race (easy to say that now!). Have spent many a Sunday at Knockhill watching the bike racing but it was fab actually running round the track (well, apart from the hills!). Didn't even skid off in to the gravel at the Hairpin (oh sorry, is it only the bikes & cars that do that....?). Unaffiliated 31:10 32:14 32:14 57.82
Enigma Brilliant! Way faster than I'd predicted. A fantastic evening and a great race. I felt as if I was pushing hard all the way round. The lap times show that I was slowing, but not by much (after the blistering first lap).
I developed a stitch on the last haf a lap but I don't think it affected me too much.
Carnegie took both team prizes with *may* taking 1st lady and *plussing as which* 3rd lady.
The 6550 points that fellow fetchies had bet on me have generated a healthy return this eveining, thanks for the confidence guys. That was the last PB which was set before I'd done much club training. I think every PB from now on will be tougher to get. Moray Half Marathon next...
Well done to the organising committee and to all the runners. Unaffiliated 23:58 23:58 24:45 23:58 68.54
Fat Boy Pleased with run and at last some signs of fitness beginning to return. Superb turnout of 166 runners for tonight's race which is one of my favourites on the calendar. Well done to May for her course record and to all the other Fetchies who took part. Results will be on-line in the morning. We had a slight problem with a runner not going up the finishing funnel which put all the times / places out but hopefully all has been rectified now. Carnegie Harriers 21:09 24:33 24:33 69.03

Plussing As Which Had mixed feelings about this race beforehand as it didn't really fit in with my marathon taper but I really didn't want to miss out. Decided to take it steady and see how things went. As it was, went a wee bit too fast in the 1st lap but 2&3 were very even and managed a strong finish to take 3rd lady spot(1st team with May and Judith), 2 mins or so faster than last year. Fantastic run by May breaking course record, another PB by Enigma, and great run by Baza. Thanks to organisers for a great event - even the weather was amazing! Unaffiliated 23:12 23:12 23:12 80.55
