We eat loads of quorn too and luckily it sits ok with us--not that we are ardent vegetarians or anything but meat takes so long to cook so we only eat meat now and again. I find that soya mince makes my stomach upset; might be something else in that chilli Mrsb because quorn is only a fungus gown by fermentation and bound with egg albumen (thanks Google!), but of course our stomachs can rebel against all sorts.
Well run Kudos and the rest of those who ran so well over the weekend.
(pity about poor Mo though)

No rain this morning, but another road run, I'm afraid. I ran with two running friends who didn't fancy running in the waterlogged forest. We did a hilly 9 miles, so happy with that.

Thank you all those who expressed sympathy and support following the death of my mum recently. During her last 5 weeks she was in pain and discomfort, so in the end it was more relief than grief - and she was just a few months short of 100 after all.

HS, I must admit that i also prefer to my runs with dry feet, although at times that is not possible. Put it down to me being old and set in my ways if you like!

Evangel, it sounds like your mum had "a good innings," and I hope that she didn't suffer too much in her latter years. My mum lived until she was 91, but suffered with osteoporosis for several years before she died.
I'm also old, will be 74 in December, but like to think that I am still young at heart.😁

No rain today for a change, so I decided to run, instead of spinning. I was back in the forest, which was extremely muddy in places, and the grass very wet. I ran 8 miles as a fartlek session, with a long warm up and warm down. The terrain made it extra tough, but hopefully will have been beneficial.

Just done my first post baby run. Starting from the beginning again but great to be able to run again. Need to fit it around feeding times for now.

I feel so young on this thread. Some of you are double my age. Hoping to still be running when I'm in my 70's. You guys are amazing 🙂.

Sorry for your loss Evangel.

Well done everyone who has completed the 1000 miles. I definitely won't make it this year.
