Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Youtube - when you're trying locate nursery rhymes with one hand (as the other is holding the bawling tot) , and then they insist on showing you an advert before the placatory tunes start

Trying to remember how we entertained bawling tots before Youtube.

And having horrible flashbacks to actually having to sing the nursery rhymes ourselves :-O

DAB radio. Always seems to intermittently cut out. A load of bollox IMO, and I usually get frustrated and end back on analogue.

[Charlie - my FIL was doing just that yesterday, moaning he had a speeding ticket for doing 58 in a 50 zone but he said he was only going at the same speed as the rest of the traffic]

I had to do a short local 8 mile drive this morning, after the rush hour and school run and some of the driving was pretty bad:

1. Woman failed to leave a gap to allow me to pull out of a side road.
2. Man in a 'Chelsea Tractor' getting in wrong lane and cutting up other road users.
3. White van man cutting me up on dual carriageway.
4. Car reversing out of driveway in my road and, when I tried to pass (as they were stationary at the roadside for considerably more than a few seconds), decided to pull out right in front of me.

On top of that, I hit every single red light on the way.

I think you mean DAB radio *coverage*, TRO. My gripe with DAB (which I rarely if ever lose reception of) is its implementation in this country, with way too many stations crammed in at low bitrates and often in mono.

While on driving, people who seem to think that we shouldn't issue a single parking or speeding ticket until every last rapist and murderer is caught.

Good point Velo, (although my eldest will disagree as to the quality of my siging / dancing!) - I can manage it up to a point, but there's a spot on the hunger/tiredness gauge when only gazing at a screen and listening to a cheesy American accent will do !
