Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

On a similar note, the co-worker opposite me who complains that it's "too cold" as she sits there with bare shoulders and legs.

people not using the pay-at-pump option when all they want is fuel and they pay with a card at the till.

Garages which remove pay at the pump facilities, presumably so they can sell more pasties. And my local garage getting a Greggs so I can't ever check my tyre pressure cos some fucker has parked there to buy pasties.

[Pay at the pumps was a huge disaster for garages, they don't make any money on fuel and rely on mars bar sales for real profit]

Similar to lots of business these days then - cinemas rely on food and drink sales, and car dealers make their money from acting as banks. :(

The other thing with pay at pump was that, even if you only put £10 fuel in it pre-authorises a much larger amount which is reconciled to the actual amount later. I found this out the hard way when I once went unexpectedly overdrawn.
