Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Rush hour cyclists with no helmet wearing headphones. Please, if you want to commit suicide, can you do it further away from my car?

Following on from Atonal Miserabilist (AFKA TRO) - and this is a while off yet - any Easter event described as Eggsciting or any other laboured egg-related pun.

McG, why didn't you have a little chat to James Martin years ago? His egg related puns have blighted my Saturday morning food porn viewing for yonks.

+1 for Hallowe'en. Just because the Americans do something, why follow suit? A stupid idea of getting unintelligent parents to encourage their children to scare or demand treats.

I like Halloween. Saves on the electricity bill sitting in the dark all night.

No it's just a great idea for retailers to be able to flog sugar-filled sweets and plastic, polluting crap that is used once and then thrown away. It fills a nice gap between the summer sales and the Xmas hard sell.

Bonfire night is generally much more eco-friendly, using mostly recycled materials (for burning) and as a result doesn't make any money for retailers. Especially since the sale of fireworks is so restricted and everyone is encouraged to go to public displays rather than have their own.

Yay, I've just realised another advantage of moving out to the countryside - hopefully no trick or treaters!
