Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

(I think Fleecy that most squash players I have met have either an over abundance of testosterone or sportsmanship - so a mixture of both may result in a lack courtesy ;-) )

So, a colleague was telling me of his Krazy Klown experience on Friday.

He'd had a shit day at work and was already feeling stressed. He ended up on the 8pm train (the last direct one on his line). Some pissed up lads were trying to wind him up/start a fight but he didn't rise. As he got off at his darkened country station, the lads were hammering on the windows and yelling abuse at him. So he was already not feeling well-disposed.

As he went to his car, he became aware that someone was approaching him menacingly. As he looked closer, he realised that the person was dressed as a clown. Instead of being intimidated, he was really angry and ran at the clown with fists raised! The clown immediately pulled his mask off and said, 'Don't hit me! It was only a joke!' To which my colleague (verbally) laid into him - what if I'd been old? Or had children with me? Would you have done this to a single woman here? He had the bloke - he was a grown man - grovelling by the end. Too right.

Flat-earthers. Seriously, if you don't understand perspective, and you don't understand conservation of momentum, the moment you start posting about Huge Conspiracies, you should have your internet access revoked before you give all your bank details to a scammer. Because you really are that stupid.

HR. Particularly HR types who fail to communicate when they've fucked up. And the more serious the fuck-up, the less you'll hear from them.

If they spent less time covering their substantial arses and more time sorting out their mess, we might be some way to getting things fixed and my team getting paid correctly.

People in meetings who say 'conscious of time...' then invariably bang ON and ON and ON and ON....
