The poor girl's profession is not relevant, using the term might lead some to infer that she was somehow partly to blame for her own demise.

I understand how it is normal to give a person's age and profession when reporting but in these circumstances it significantly changes the emphasis of the story. It is not as bad as only reporting the race of the perpetrator when that person is non-white English, but it is insidious and perjorative, not to mention an awkward pc construction. Is it any better than 'prostitute?' (There are probably a number of good reasons why it is better.)

People who allow their clothes to dry in the washing machine/damp heap and therefore don't smell too fragrant. Particularly when they're wearing the stinky clothes when sat next to me in a meeting. Recruitment consultants and in-house recruitment managers not fulfilling promises on getting in contact.
