Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Some pelican crossings are set up that if 3 or more presses are registered they change quicker so I often press the button a few times, just in case.

It's also interesting that at some junctions, people still keep pressing the button to cross the road although there is clearly timed phasing in place.

The other day, someone leaned around me to press the button on the door of my tram, despite me standing right in front of it and having done just that seconds before. Do I really look that simple?

What's the problem with it Jono ? Pretty true to the book and Eddie Marsan excellent as usual. What were you expecting that you're not getting ?

cgi is rubbish, the line last night *3 french destroyers have broken through* destroyers were never a ship of the line. The acting is dreadful, despite Eddie being in it.

It just seems as if its the normal BBC lets put people in a costume drama - BUT, please accept my apologises z100jeff as I didn't realise it was a book.

On the other hand the beeb have redeemed themselves with the GAME, IMO.

PtB (a couple of pages back). Point taken, but my gripe is those who are trying too hard to sound more 'educated' by using longer words when a simple 'me' or 'I' would do. :-)

When I switch off my mobile for the night and it always does a loud vibrate at the end, making me jump. Hate it!
