"It would be rude not to." No, the sunny evening won't disapprove of your manners if you choose not to use it as an opportunity to do your pointless hobby/drink alcohol/make the neighbourhood smell of charred sausages. |

Owen Jones is on QT, off switch applied (something the hippies without the TV's won't be able to do).

Some of the bollocks that people share or link to on Facebook without engaging their brain. Today's example is someone who I actually thought was fairly intelligent linking to this livingtraditionally.com and the comments from people to say "Good idea, I'm going to start doing this". Lemons are not high in potassium, they do not 'alkalinize' your body, they cannot stop joint pain or cure cancer due to being 'highly alkaline' and water with lemon juice added will not do any of these other amazing things that website suggests - unless it's something that water does all by itself. |

[citric acid is er, actually an acid. Ie the opposite of an alkali. Perhaps the chemistry they learnt when they were about 11 might help them there?]

[haha, I just read that they did actually say that lemons contain citric acid. Then at the end they say lemons cure cancer cos they are alkaline. Sheesh, you'd think they'd get their pseudobunkumbollocks consistent at least :)]

Why is it that when you press a button when out in public, such as at a pelican crossing or a lift, someone else comes along and presses it as well? The mechanism has responded to your request by lighting itself up, so why? Do people think that by another person doing the same, it will act quicker, or do they see the first person standing there and think that they're incapable of doing it properly?

It's more annoying when you turn up and someone is waiting and hasn't fucking pressed the button. Are they waiting for magic to occur?
