Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

BBC London traffic "news."

Blackwall Tunnel, A13 Barking - Dagenham, A2 Kidbrooke, M25 in the roadworks. This is not NEWS!

There were a couple smoking them in the cinema when I went last Dio. I was fantasising about killing them.

Funny story re e-cigarettes.

There was a guy from work down the pub using one. He was also still using real cigs. Someone asked what the e-cig was like and why was he still using both? He said his wife had bought him the e-cig, and he was trying to transfer across gradually. However, the e-cig he had was BANANA flavour. He didn’t like it! We asked him would he ever consider buying BANANA flavour real cigs if available – No was his reply. We asked if he actually liked BANANAS – No was his reply. WTF?

Ironically, he was now smoking more real cigs as he would try the BANANA e-cig for a bit, then would have a real cig to get the taste of BANANA out of his mouth.

Oh how we laughed :-)

Surely that's not permitted? (smoking them in a cinema, I mean. Not killing them, that'd be ok)

Cafes which advertise toast and butter/sarnies with butter but when you get the finished article, you find out they've used margarine. :(

Definitely that, RS. I've got a little list of tearooms where I ask for my sandwich unbuttered because I know they use that axle-grease stuff instead of actual butter :(

Surely advertising something as butter, but using marg is against all sorts of laws... like the pizza shops that serve turkey ham and call it ham...

When my OH says "any when" instead of "any time"!!

"I'm available any when next week" it doesn't even make sense!
