The app refers me to go to the online banking web page, the online service wants me to generate a security code from the app. The old phone is at home.

I'm sure it's just coincidence that the "best" Mastercard out there at the moment is branded from Amazon....!). Application form accepted, account created on line. Tick. Email received saying manage your account using our app! Download app.... App: Put in your user ID here..... Ah, wait. User ID requires me to login on website to create it. Website requires me to have account number, card number, and online registration code to proceed. eMail 1 day later - "here's your online registration number and a PIN". eMail 3 days later - "here's your account number". email 5 days later - "Your card number nnnn is being sent to you" Next morning: Actual card arrives in the post. I'm now in possession of all of the information to set up the app to easily manage my account. [On the positive side, they did give me a £40 Amazon credit!]
