Modern AstroTurf is really good. Wouldn’t want it in my garden, though.

[I think because it always looks "perfect" and in our Instagram world, where everything must be perfect at all times, this ticks that box.
I understand it from a practical point of view in my childminders garden, where it would be a mudbath with kids in and out all day (and in similar settings), but I still hate it.]

Here's another - modern car design which means that when cars are parked close to a junction you can't see left or right before you edge out. All you can see is whopping slabs of metal and blacked out windows until you're in the middle of the road.
In days of yore the windows were massive and clear enough to see right through the car.
And fake grass. If you don't want the trouble of mowing a lawn, plant a shrubbery. One that looks nice and not too expensive.

I currently have quite a large astro burn on my left knee from fake grass on the pitch on saturday.
Sure, it's equally playable pretty much all year and very low maintenance, but I'd still rather fall over on proper grass and or mud, ta very much.

Inappropriate use of the passive voice. "So, this happened," instead of, "I did this." "Board games were played," instead of, "We played board games." Are you such a fucking DRIP that you can't even take responsibility for entering a race or playing Monopoly?

People on Duolingo who want e.g. 'often' and 'always' and 'a lot' and 'so much' to be accepted as synonyms.

Reading this, which resonates a lot, reminds me of a thread on an old finance website I used to frequent, It was called Grumpy old men, although I think there are enough ladies here to qualify as grumpy old people.
btw I was a fully paid up member of said thread!
