Dr PhFleecyD
See earlier gear grinding arguing for decent fucking cycling infrastructure instead of blaming people on bikes for trying not to get run over...

[Lol. 2 slides to every story, except when cyclists are involved, then there's about 3 at least!]
Cancer. Bloody bastard cancer.

No, it's not a busy road and it was a bloke in his 20s. He needs to use the road or not zoom past people with inches to spare. No excuse for cycling like a twat on the pavement.

Fleecy, sorry I just read the latest page and didn’t read back but - I wasn’t complaining about people cycling on the pavement in general (appreciate my post didn’t make that clear) but people cycling on the pavement too quickly and expecting anyone who’s walking to leap out of their way (and psychically sense their presence if they’re coming from behind you too quickly).
Yes, of course I agree there should be better cycling infrastructure, but I would expect that people who were worried about being hit by a car if they were cycling on the road would show a little more consideration towards people walking.

[When on the road drivers need to take extra care re cyclists, as the cyclists are the vulnerable ones. When on the pavement cyclists need to take extra care re pedestrians, as the pedestrians are the vulnerable ones]

Most (but not all) of the cyclists I encounter on the pavement are sadly proving the stereotype of being oblivious to others, and I usually end up having to run in the road with my back to the oncoming traffic because of them, sometimes on dual carriageways. There is a perfectly good cycle route marked on a parallel route, but these cyclists don't use it (others do).

cars that pass within inches of cyclists and don't even slow down
trucks that pull out in front of cyclists coming downhill meaning they have to slam their brakes on
cars that still overtake cyclists who are indicating right and starting to move out to turn right at a roundabout
pot holes
so called scottish summers where it's so cold you can't feel your fingers and end up not being able to change gears
most of the world today really
