Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It's not a lot better further South in Yorkshire, M_N.

Apparently Summer is back on Thursday for a couple of days before the weekend proper.

When you need to change your oven bulb and this is what comes out.

And then why are these things in impossible places to get to. Underside of the back corner of the top of the oven behind the heating element. About 90 mins later (and possibly half the time trying to turn the thing the wrong way) before getting the rest of it out. Now off for a rest !

Although do I dare put the new one in? Second one of a two pack. But I least I know I can get them out again now.

[Swittle - not sure whether WD40 - at least the common or garden type I have - or silica/silicon lubricant stuff is high temperature? Or whether it would smoke/burn/stick more than slide at 200C ? ]

[Nicholls - was getting worrid that it would need an engineer call out. Very pleased it didn't need oven removal and access from the top, which I think is the way to get the light unit out. And, so I've heard, from A&E tales, always best to make sure you can get the bulb out before putting it in anywhere]
