The owner of our village corner shop showed us his receipt from the cash and carry: he'd paid £1.80 for bread he was selling at £1.90. How he makes a living on that I don't know. He's been open 7 days a week and has managed to keep all basics available - he's an absolute star]

The sound of the ball bouncing almost constantly on the patio, on my wall and the sound of it hitting the hoop which sounds like someone kicking my radiator - I can hear it in every room in the house. It goes on for several hours every day. [I know it's more healthy than some ways they can pass lockdown but it is seriously annoying]
