Examples of profiteering at the otherwise friendly and q well stock convenience shop. Example: 6 crumpets 80p late March; £1.20 now. ![]() I can afford to carry such rises - but many others in the area simply cannot, especially if the pandemic continues. |

the sound of children bouncing on a trampoline (three doors down, not shrieking or anything, but the constant sound of the rubber rebounding sounds like someone kicking a slightly soft football and its doing my head in) |

My kids hate my rebounder! I even oiled the springs but it’s still noisy ![]() With you on the pollen, can’t go outside in this wind. Every bloody catkin in existence is flying through the air |

[Swittle - the profiteering is not necessarily the convenience store itself. The owner of our village corner shop showed us his receipt from the cash and carry: he'd paid £1.80 for bread he was selling at £1.90. How he makes a living on that I don't know. He's been open 7 days a week and has managed to keep all basics available - he's an absolute star] |

On a similar theme - next door's kids playing basketball ALL day! The sound of the ball bouncing almost constantly on the patio, on my wall and the sound of it hitting the hoop which sounds like someone kicking my radiator - I can hear it in every room in the house. It goes on for several hours every day. [I know it's more healthy than some ways they can pass lockdown but it is seriously annoying] |
