For example- no I'm sorry, you can't book that family accommodation because your children are over 11 (and under 18) so you need to book 2 rooms instead of 1. Or, it costs more for person x because they are 1 year older that person y. I get that there have to be stages, but surely babe in arms, pre-school, school age and over 18 covers most bases?

Their only reasoning being that to donate to charity why do you have to run (or lose a toenail as they put it). This is of course a comedy show with people who don't know what a marathon is apart from watching the London Marathon on one given April day each year.
