Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That there are times of the year when you can buy neither hot cross buns or mince pies

They're everywhere Fleecy, and puds and cakes and chocs. That's so you can buy them, eat them, then buy them again and repeat for the next 3 months. :-p

Useless supermarket staff. I had to tell the sole checkout chap to call his colleagues because there were 12 people queuing behind me. Ds2 spotted 3 other members of staff replenishing shelves in full sight of this queue. Fuck knows what the manager was doing, other than obviously not their job!

Was that still the Co op Fleecy? My experience of them is that staff stacking shelves only go on the till if someone already on the till rings for them.

What, not wait till a customer tells you what to do? :)
The Coop is very variable in its staff, in the Ryde shop they are brilliant, especially the man with dwarfism though he’s so small you can’t see him coming behind the checkouts as he rushes over to help :)

The staff in both the hone and seaside Co-ops are pretty good. My favourite is Felix in the seaside one, he's always very cheery and points out when I've got enough credit stacked up not to have to pay for my shopping. The Co-op here doesn't operate that system, which is a shame IMO.
