Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

At the moment, what's pissing me off is the online database for completing team appraisals that insists on correcting my spelling to American English. Grrrrrr.......

Temporary three-way traffic lights still in place nearly a week after the tiny bit that both ways had to use was reopened, so that we now have ridiculous long tailbacks to drive down a two-way bit of road.

It appears I'm the only person (male or female) capable of going to the gym and doing even 3k on the tready without the desperate need to take on fluids.

Having to maintain a professional façade when I see one of my colleagues giving another member of staff a tedious piece of totally unnecessary work to do.

Thx for the temporary roadworks explanation Dio. Makes so much sense now I know. I'm going to be looking out for them at this time of year from now on!

Re: homework tho I have to disagree. Marigold (Yr 7) has 7 separate pieces of homework to complete over half term. We're going away and she is having a mini meltdown about having to take it all with her. There's maintaining discipline and taking the piss.

I think I had a reputation at school when my kids we of a homework age!
It wasn't homework per se, but that every teacher/subject assumedo theirs took priority and that they all set them for the same days and holidays.

The sat nav telling me to "use the second to right lane to stay on A48" when it's a two-lane road.

That'll be the left lane then.
