Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Amiably or notably or desirably. It’s supposedly! Supposedly.

(And I knew it was a mistake trying to write this on a barely functional phone)

Minor grinding by local paper headlines that say something like "MP slams decision to close village bank". When you read the article the local MP actually expressed disappointment at the decision and would be seeking a meeting with someone.

A bit more major grinding from the state of the roads around here. It's probably the worst I've ever seen.

And another one is 3-way temporary traffic lights. So much time wasted. Brng back stop/go boards.

John Lewis customer support staff who have such impenetrable accents we might as well be speaking different languages, especially those incapable of finding my fucking order which is 3 months late!

My left leg.

(My left foot is behaving itself. As is my left thigh, my left hip and my left buttock.

I am not at all sure how Daniel Day-Lewis would feel about this.)

Out of office replies along the lines of ‘I’m in a meeting todsy so won’t be reading your email’. The subtext being I won’t be reading your email ever because you’ve chosen a really inconvenient time to send it me.
