Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Member of team: "how do you do x task, MzG?"
Me: "have you read the protocol"
MOT:..baffled look
Me: "the protocol that you've signed to say you've read and understood on the quality management system"
MOT: "err..."
Me: "go and read and then come and ask me if you still need to"

Honestly this goes on several times a day. No one can be bothered to look at the SOPs because they'd rather ask me. The only reason I've actually written some of the SOPs is so I can point at them when someone disagrees with me and say "well that's not what it says here".

Argh.

"I would like to wish my small child/elderly aunt/someone else very bloody unlikely to ever see this post a very happy birthday"

Well, fucking do it then. A 'look how thoughtful I am, yay me!' post doesn't count.

Coming to work on a Monday morning to a load of out of hours reports telling me to consider tightening up blood pressure control/starting an expensive anticoagulant/doing specialist referrals about their bad kidneys for patients who are in their nineties and prone to falling down.
