Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

(That would annoy the hell out of me too Helegant, irrational or not. One of the things I didn't like about our old house is the neighbours had a right of way over part of our drive so they could access their property)

Raptors Claws are coming to town
[We're a bit the other way. The local youngsters have permission to go into our back garden and retrieve footballs that have gone over the fence, and I don't think I'd be all that bothered if a public bridleway crossed out property.]

Hark the Helegant Angels Sing
[Their bin spaces are at the end of their own drive and there is no problem with access. What annoys me is that they have 'assumed' that they can do this without even bothering to ask.]

@HtHAS - hard to tell if that would annoy me without knowing the topography, but I get irate when leaflet-droppers walk across my front lawn to get to/from my neighbour's house. Because the house is 10 metres plus from the street you'd think I have some expectations of privacy, so it's mildly distressing to be sat minding my own business and see a figure walk across the front window. I bet I'm not even allowed to set tripwires or mantraps.

[Tripwires and mantraps may be unwise, but a few strategically-placed spiky bushes may persuade the leaflet-droppers that it would be better to use the pavement.]
