Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

While I'm here, can I add a vote for commuters with wheeled suitcases, especially at the top and foot of escalators.

Also, petty rules and trivial complaints. Ironic, isn't it?

Kids wearing black on a dark night running out across the road from between two parked cars. I was so shocked (and relieved I stopped in time) that I didn't even open my window to remonstrate with them.

The van driver who got into the right lane at the roundabout (for turning right) but then cut me up by going straight ahead instead, and at the next roundabout about 20 seconds later got into the left lane (for left or straight on) and almost side swiped me by carrying on round for the third exit.
Cock.

The twelve people cycling on the pavement when there's a perfectly good cycle lane on the nice wide, straight road and the large proportion of the twelve who had no lights on.
Fuckwits.

[I've had a great day, can you tell?]

Travis Perkins articulated lorries cutting across the kerb and then parking on double yellow lines making a small road virtually impassable. Oh and the arrogant wanker driver who said 'Oh so are you going to give me a ticket then?' and walked off. Frankly I didn't expect anything else.

My neighbours using my drive to move their bins. Sounds petty but I expect people to ask if they want to cross my borders/boundaries. Next stiop will be a toll-gate or a customs booth.

That blow by blow commentaries on the latter stages of various reality/celeb based TV shows such as Strictly, Bakeoff, The Apprentice etc,. that appear on mainstream news outlets alongside proper news.

Having half a five minute hourly radio bulletin taken up by which halfwit "celeb" has done what in Strictly* is deeply annoying.

Ditto the need to keep me informed on an hourly basis about the FTSE and Dow Jones. Why? Once a day is plenty.

*The only exception being the time that the voting public took the p*ss and kept voting for John Sergeant when he was (allegedly) really awful. Its the only time I've listened to the Jeremy Vine show and laughed. A rare moment of sanity.
