Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

What minor disaster has befallen you today?

Got dog poo on my fingers when picking up after Monty on his walk tonight. Then couldn’t put my glove back on so my hand nearly froze on the walk home.

Left the dog's harness at work, I have a long weekend off with lots of activities involving the dog planned.

Only a minor disaster as she has a spare!

The spirit level that C was using to put up the wallpaper in the living room is off. The spirit bit is in the handle which appears to have come very slightly loose. He will now need to start again as the pattern has a straight line so the crookedness is noticeable and we can’t now not see it.

The train I'm on only has seats in fours, without even a table between them to act as a barrier between you and the person facing you.
I sat down first, and a group of three took the others, and are talking excessively and animatedly.
I can hear them over my music, which I have as loud as hearing health permits, and the girl next to me keeps jostling me while flailing her hands. I don't necessarily blame these people for being young and energetic and cheerful, I blame NS for only having this crappy chair configuration.

This is only a minor disaster, as if it wasn't three three I might have had the lady travelling with two very bored, very small children, I guess. Again, can't blame the woman for travelling with small children, or the small children for being bored, I'm just glad I'm not sitting next to them. That's too much energy for me this early on a Saturday. Or ever, possibly.

The smallest one keeps crawling under chairs and touching things with their filthy hands.

Awaking from a nap, I heard a familiar-sounding voice from the kitchen crying out "O my God what have you done?" so I rushed into the kitchen to find my wife listening to the radio.

My wife rearranged our duvet in the wee small hours last night and being half asleep I thought she then left put her hand right on my crotch. Oh, I thought, that's a nice surprise. It wasn't her hand though but a hot water bottle and fortunately it was still quite warm, but not too hot :-)

:-) DT!

Last Monday I booked theatre tickets for a Saturday next November. This is for the theatre at the seaside and the show is only on for one weekend a year.

My running club in Gloucestershire posted yesterday that there'll be a trip to take part in Roly's Run rolys.run an event celebrating the life of a club member who died far too young a few years ago. I did this run a few years ago and loved it and was looking forward to doing it again next year.
You guessed it, it's the same weekend I'll be in Devon for the theatre. 52 weekends a year and they have to clash :-(
