After paying the letting agents finders fee to find him a new tenant and paying him the rent up until the new tenant arrived even though I was no longer living there, he now wants the remainder of the rent for the 6 month agreement. The CD contains the threatening conversations I had with this guy one day (recorded off mobile phone), where he threatened all matters of stuff to me and my family. Have told him that I owe him nothing and that if he doesn't back off, the CD goes to the cops. Phew!

If he hasn't filed a small claims case against you for unpaid rent, he is just calling your bluff. This is happening to us at the moment except we are the landlords being harrassed by the tenant! When we turned up at court, the judge said the harrassment was a separate issue (hence why I say to log it separately). Unpaid rent is 'simply' a rubber stamp and then off to the small claims court procedure. oh and last text was from Kimberlina! Have fun tonight at fetch social. I am out tomorrow so cant make it x

Boab Oct 2007 8:54am, 26 Oct 2007 1,578 posts	Boab Small claims would be the way to go DD, but I don't owe him a penny, he has a new tennant, I paid for the Finders fee FFS to get his new tenant in and I paid the rent until that new tenant was in place. It all seemed so amicable at the time, but now this.
