Congrats Dave, 100+ miles in that heat is nuts. Not sure if I saw Bint or Paul, hope you didn't suffer too much.

Lovely to see you at Reigate StuH. Thanks for the help. It was good to have the aid station a bit earlier so I could then stock up at the cafe a bit further on |

Nice. It is due to absolutely piss it down for the full 46 hours so I’m kind of glad it is postponed for me

Ran my first, continuous, 50+ mile distance yesterday. Loop the Lough from Strangford to Portaferry. Course got clipped a little from the intented 54 due to a subsided road, which brought it down to around (I made it a bit under) 53 miles. Went relatively well, got home in under 9 hours which was the target for the 54 miles. It was a little hillier than I was expecting and a little bit of chatting on the way round which cost me a little time. Weather was perfect, sunny without ever being warm. All in all a great day out in a beautiful part of the world. Only issue is my big toes, they took a pounding I've the last 10 miles or so and are both black and wobbly this morning. Is there anyway back for them? Or does anyone have any how should manage their inevitable departure |

Let 'em go, Paul. In their own time unless they're digging into the skin or ripping your socks
