Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Christmas decs, cards and tree will come down on the 6th, except for a piece of green tinsel that we have around a picture. We forgot to take it down one year and didn’t notice until around June. So now we leave it up all year round. Just because…….🤷‍♂️

All taken down today. We usually go away for NYE so take them down before we go so we come back to a tidy house but this year we had the family here so they stayed up longer than usual.

Do you think they're taunting Santa and his judgemental list?

I took ours down on Friday before we left for New Year. Wasn’t such a shock to the system walking in to the living room today when we came home

I used to be a hardline 6th January taker-downer, but then we went to Vienna one January and I learned that the Austrians keep theirs up til Candlemas on 2nd Feb. I couldn't do with the tree dropping needles for another month but I wait now until it's convenient to take them down.

De-Christmassed today. 2nd Jan is really back to work/shit/normality day so works for me.

Usually glad of it, build up is too long from mid November - if people could hold back the start a bit it might feel better extending further into January.

I didn't know that LazyDaisy !

I don't go back to work till next week so will probably take them down this weekend.

It is the twinkling lights I miss when they are gone.

I was pretty rubbish this year and all my decs that needed batteries didnt get batteries and I wasnt half as decorated as normal. However, I took decorations down (mostly) on NYE inside and out and the tree finally came down yesterday. I much before a clear house but agree with solo I miss the lights.

All our decorations & outside lights come down on or around the 6th, but our inside fairy lights stay up to provide a bit of cheer through the winter.
