Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Does sucking a Tune when you start (or mentholyptus or other snot clearing sweet) help?
And as an added bonus, they can be really messy and sticky on a windscreen, if needed.

The Mussile
I've got a noob question. This is something I've noticed throughout October, so I'm assuming it's related to the cold air - but I'm finding that my nostrils are getting full up with moisture on a regular basis. Is this common? And are there any strategies for stopping it? (Like maybe a buff over the face - but that feels like it'd just get wringing wet) It's not too much of a pain really, and I've perfected the snot rocket, saving them for when cars get too close

I often use a buff for just this in cold weather but I did upgrade and buy a warm haglofs balaclava just before lockdown that I managed to use only once or twice so far.

Labrador nose is an excellent description :-)
As I blogged in January, it's a perpetual problem

fetcheveryone.com/blog-share.php?id=415889

Haven't found a solution, apart from a good cough every so often and gloves with a fleecy bit (which is probably supposed to be for sweat?).

Great blog :-)

I was wondering whether we might be able to improve the number of cycling race listings we have at present. I can see six future cycling events when I look within 1000 miles of me:

fetcheveryone.com/races-map.php?latitude=52.1349&longitude=-0.4468&address=mk403sd&maxtravel=1000&racetype=bike

I'm gonna go searching, and try to add some more, but if anyone else can spare 10 mins to add a couple, that'd be great. I've been toying with the idea of me doing a sportive next year, and I'd like to know what's out there :-)

Lots of gloves have a soft bit on the thumb or finger, and it’s usually described on the packaging as a ‘nose wipe’. 🤧

I don't know whether mine has a special bit or not, but I wipe anyway :-)

After a ride I usually rinse the towelly bit of my gloves. Saves them getting too crusty :-)

Kind of like this (excuse the zwifting action shot).

When I know the dates for the 2022 Friday Night Rides I'll add them to the event listings. 🌌🚴‍♀️😀
