Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Very cute. Next week, I'm off for my knitting retreat...only my airline (KLM) doesn't allow knitting needles as carry on, which puts a dent in my plans as I usually travel carry on only. I'm going to have to check my bag for an extra charge, as I paid for no checked baggage! Fortunately it's not too expensive, and gives me the option of taking a slightly bigger bag than I initially planned.

I'm glad I checked this before finalising my packing - or waiting until I got to the airport and had a nasty surprise!

I could cry.

Lanza, the one eyed asshole, had chewed through the cable and several rows.
Luckily, she didn't get her gnashers on either wooden tip, or swallow either of the stitch markers, but I already had to frog this all the way back from very nearly finished and restart it because I realised I didn't quite have enough of this yarn to finish at the guage I'd been working in. Now they're won't be enough even with these smaller needles, and going any smaller wouldn't work for the yarn weight.

:le sigh:

Fresh off the needles, that was a long castoff with all those picots!
Lifelines still in place.

I’ve got some serious blocking to do!

That looks great already, Meglet, I bet it'll be stunning once it's blocked.

I'll save the rest of the ball, and the second ball, but the stuff that's been chewed isn't worth the faff, I don't think. There might be a few metres, but I'm too sad to put the effort into finding out.

I'll put the rest of that yarn away and do something else now. Maybe that skull doily I've been wanting a tattoo of.
