Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

What do you know today, that you did not yesterday?

Probably the sort of people that don't understand me writing something I've just done on my to-do list then crossing it out.

I not only keep old maps, I still use them. Many "interesting" conversations with Mrs Nico while staring at a 25 year old White Peak map and trying to make sense of what is in front of us.

What else would you write on a to-do list?

I keep maps too, all of them, why wouldn't you, people who don't keep maps are weird.

I don't live in a stately home so, sadly, don't have the space to keep all the interesting stuff from the past. And I already keep far more than my kids will thank me for when it's their job to clear my home.

[my intention is to have a box labelled “I kept this for sentimental reasons, just throw it away”. But I’m not there yet!]
