Yes. Last night was the best sleep recording I've had since the on device sleep came in and I wonder if better optical HR is connected? Or it might be coincidence of course.

That would make sense Badger
Amazed that I had to remove activities to get the beta on despite only having the watch for 2 months. I guess storage isn't that big on non-music editions.

Did a 'run' rather than a 'trail run' last night and got a new VO2Max, and 140/7 again matched file value perfectly.
Interestingly (to me anyway) 140/29 also had the same value as field 7, whereas on previous runs where I'd not generated a new VO2Max it had been zero. Is this a common pattern? Just wondering if it is used to show when a new max is achieved?

My 230 used to tell me when a new high was achieved, my 245 doesn't, just shows when it recalculates.

I spotted the 245 beta last night, came here to mention it. I am also hoping that it calms down the heart rate on a run. I think I assumed the tracking mode tracked regular routes so you got more repeatable distances.

Garmin Track Mode First Session. Odd number laps are efforts and were about 300m. Things that would affect actual distance were moving start (and obviously finish) combined with button press timing. Also track was busy so moved out into lanes 2-3 at certain points. Distances are pretty close. Not sure what happened with the first effort and recovery though, seems it might not like a fast start, lol. Would be interesting to try in a race and it seems I may get one more before the season is out (not sure I'd be able to calibrate* before a race though as running through the start line is frowned upon).
The map obviously isn't quite right but it shows what Garmin are doing. If you choose lane 1, even if you switch to an outside lane for recovery, it treats it like you're still in lane 1 for measuring purposes.
*Needs to be calibrated with a lap or two of the track before the session (and you tell the Garmin what lane you're in). I did my calibration in lane 5. Once calibrated, should be good to go forever on that track. If you're not set to lane 1 at the start of your session, it will ask you if you want to switch to lane 1 or you can choose another lane if that's where you're running.
