Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

There must be quite a few people like that still on the go, though not getting to 104. My dad's cousin in in the old family home where I'm sure she was born in the late 1930s.

She's quite eccentric and reclusive I believe, but the place isn't full of cats.

Talking about London it’s unrealistic to be a first time buyer there as an ex Pat 😜 who lived there for over 40 years I’m glad to be out in the ‘countryside’ now. Ok I’m in a Town but it’s like it for me. Still work in London.

About that BBC article, because I’m nosey I had a look on the agent site. It looks clean and tidy, although obviously very dated.

I’m currently working in Jersey. And have been looking in estate agent windows as you do. A 3 bedroom house here goes for £650,000 plus. This one is the most expensive I’ve seen, (I think it has belong to a former F1 racing driver). Incidentally the island has a massive affordable housing crisis. I wonder why.

Describing this as a ground floor flat is rather stretching the definition

Looks like a perfect opportunity for one of those polished ladies from the glossy interiors magazines who really want to put my own stamp on the place yah.

Love that Wolves.

Meglet, i love the house, the "flat" could probably be great, although i'm not sure i agree with the suggested layout. It doesn't look damp, but... also probably needs some consideration for insulation, bit of a project for sure.

If there were something like that here I’d take it - can see it costing the same again to finish properly though!
